The following are
the
target goals for our Pacific Northwest Tae
Kwon Do
Competition Team for 2008:
1.
Establish the Pacific Northwest Tae Kwon Do Team
as a formidable force in competitive Full
Contact Sparring, Point Sparring and Poomse
Competition.
a. Conduct and facilitate "Coaching" forums
to develop a grassroots program within the state
and Region to help all interested in differing
perspectives of competition.
2. Train and develop men, women, and junior
Students into National level competitors.
a. Conduct Pacific Northwest Team Training
sessions that are open to all competitors,
coaches, schools, instructors and masters.
b. Create and foster a developmental program
and Forum for the recreational Tae Kwon Do
practitioner.
3. Develop elite athletes for International
competition.
a. Conduct Pacific Northwest Elite Adult and
Junior Team Training sessions that are open to
all elite competitors, coaches, schools,
instructors and masters.
4. Establish a personal level of commitment in
competitors to overall fitness, weight control,
performance, etc.
5. Create a learning environment where all
competitive philosophies are considered,
reconciled and each competitors is assisted to
achieve their competitive goals as well as Team
competition goals.
6. Establish a team that works hard, is
supportive of each other and has fun!!!!
7. Establish
Pacific Northwest Tae Kwon Do Team

1. What hotel are we staying at?
2. How much NWTKD is going to pay for the
competitors and coaches on hotel?
Competitors and coaches who are officially selected
"Team Members" will be assigned four to a room. The
room will be paid for in accord to the number of
days that the competitor is scheduled to compete at
nationals.
3. Is NWTKD going to pay for the tournament fee
or do we do that?
We do not pay for tournament fees. We only take care
of ground transportation and hotel rooms with
available funding received from PNW AAU
Competitions.
4. What is the minimum age to be a coach at the
Nationals?
You must be 15 years old to be a AAU Coach
5. What is Northwest Taekwondo's AAU 501c3 tax
ID#?
NWTKD is an affiliated organization under the
Amateur Athletic Union. The
Amateur Athletic Union has a group 501(c)3
determination letter from the
IRS. The Group Exemption Number of the Amateur
Athletic Union is 1155.
